Broadway Café

Tucked away in the very last conserved shophouse along Duxton Road, Broadway Café is latest entry to the charming Duxton enclave. Its menu serves quite a good variety of drinks and cakes that got me interested weeks ago. And there I was on a Monday afternoon when many other places calling it weekend.

Latte - $6.9

My disappointing cup of Latte ($6.9) tasted a tad bland and overly creamy. My bad for choosing a dcoffee drink at a non-specialty coffee place.

Cake of the day - $7.9

Not quite sure what to have, their cake of the day became the perfect answer to the undecisive moment.

Having fragrant kaya cake as the sponge, the cream layer was delightful when eaten together with the red beans. Quite a decent piece of cake I must say.

Looking at the many polaroids at the entrance, the café must have seen many joyous birthday celebrations. While the food I had was mediocre, their comfy couches look like just the perfect spot I can spend a lazy afternoon on. As it is opened till late, it also makes a great hangout alternative to all the pubs in the area.
