Rabbit Carrot Gun

Or as they say, ‘Manducare Bibere Somno.’

Down the rabbit hole we went to this brand new café for a relaxing afternoon in the Joo Chiat area last week.

Brimming with an old school charm, the interior was a well-restored shophouse with a touch of modernity. No aircon was needed in the house, as the open-concept space invited a constant stream of breeze that made every corner incredibly cosy, so cosy that my companion went fishing several times sitting on their comfy chair.

Chamomile tea - $4.50

Hot Chocolate - $6

The Hot Chocolate Nazi was very pleased with his favourite drink here, which came served in a bowl. Well, not really, but close enough.

Quiche of the Day - $21

'Proper' Prawn Cocktail and Chicken Liver & Madeira Parfait were not available as the kitchen was having its break. We got a promising-looking something off the counter display. Mother Rabbit’s Quiche of the Day they called it.

The noble steed

We also caught a glimpse of the English chef working in the kitchen. Sure the café menu has much to offer that it certainly calls for a come-back-soon.

hi! i'm an avid reader of your blog and it never fails to amaze me how these little cafes actually belong in Singapore when we never knew they exist... great photography!(: i like your simple writings, could be better if you could include the prices of the dishes. anyway, keep going!

RERG: You are welcome :)

estellakoh: Thx for dropping by. I will defintely visit your blog for travel tips

Sugar: Thc for your support all these whiles. I dislike crowded establishments, and that drove me to all these still-not-popular places.

On the price thing, to be honest the quiche was quite a bill shock so I left the prices out, but its still not hard to find out the price of each item if you roll your mouse over that photo :)
